Loli Janet Vaiusu‑Tuala is an Associate in the Family team, practising across all areas of family law. She brings a strong client-centred and advocacy-focused approach to her work, supporting individuals and whānau through some of life’s most challenging transitions.

Born and raised in Hawke’s Bay, Janet is a proud Hastings Girls’ High School Old Girl and has deep roots in the Hastings Samoan & wider community. She brings a culturally grounded, empathetic perspective to her practice, with a strong commitment to equity and access to justice.

Janet is actively involved in governance and community leadership and was recently appointed to the Board of Kainga Pasifika Services, is an Executive Member of the Family Courts Association and coaches Rippa Rugby for the M.A.C Sports Association. 

Outside of work, Janet values spending quality time with her young family.
